Playing isn't mandatory, but you'll want to. Everyone picks one of these in the RSVP form.
The one catch: if you later can't make it, tell me as soon as possible so your role can be recast.
A game you play in character over one evening. Early on, one guest is "murdered". Everyone else has a motive, a secret and something to hide, and over the night you mingle, trade clues, bluff and interrogate each other until someone unmasks the killer. Think Cluedo, except you are the pieces.
No. Choose innocent bystander in the RSVP form and you can simply enjoy the evening and the chaos around you.
Before the party you receive your character. On the night you play that person: chat to the other guests, guard your own secrets, dig up everyone else's and try to work out who did it. Or, if it turns out to be you, try to get away with it.
Encouraged, never required. Even a hat or a single prop helps you get into character.

Yes, plus-ones and friends are welcome. Each person fills in the RSVP form separately, so I have a good idea how many people to expect.
Let me know as soon as possible. For prime suspects this matters most, so your character can be recast before the night.
Will you be a prime suspect or an innocent bystander?
Fill in the form by Sunday 25 October. It takes about two minutes.
